Fashion-based television shows aren’t unknown to the the general public. It’s always refreshing when there’s something new for the (fashion obsessed) to see. And it is especially exciting when you watch a show that is based on the CFDA (Council of Fashion Designers of America)/Vogue Fashion Fund. Which is technically different than any other fashion show in entertainment, for one it is currently in it’s tenth year; and the annual effort invites American-based designers to compete for a lucrative $300,000 grant and a one-year mentorship with a real industry icon. So to say that’s it’s new to fashion industry insiders is rather repulsive.
Could you imagine working with Marc Jacobs? I’m dying.
