Oscar Carvallo: Catwalk Color Spectrum

Oscar Carvallo for Spring/Summer 2014/15 debuted one interesting Couture Catwalk. Channing a multi-variable color spectrum, is something you endure amidst high fashion design. But Carvallo was doing more than just ‘tasting the rainbow’. He applied a raw aesthetic of modernized high fashion. Demonstrating the use of multiple colors in a holographic show-case of fierce and feisty women. It reminded me of the mid-90’s Batman film, you know, the one with the gorgeous George Clooney. Reason being, is it used neons, patent fabrics and holographic materials forecasting a gloomy yet high fashion future. In Carvallo’s show you see 70s influences, 90s touches, Spanish inspiration amidst dominatrix appeal. It’s the essence of the ‘power woman’, which will be hot and trendy for Spring/Summer 2014.
