Runway Review at Lakme Fashion Week Day 2

Day 2 of Lakme Fashion Week brought along a new dawn of style and innovation. From feeling the Indian tradition to space age transformation, there was never a standstill moment at LFW.

Sourabh Kant Srivastava showcased Hindu deity inspired line called “Rebirth of Kalyug”, with a touch of western influence evidently portrayed through acrylic, leather and metal trimmings. Printed as well as 3D floral appliqués reminded us of the scattered flowers offered to God. Beautifully dramatised with headgears and face cover-ups, the result was pure visual pleasure.

Payal Singhal’s French-Moroccan collection was a mix of very beautiful and dull outfits. We loved the Islamic-inspired prints she used. But honestly, Neha Dhupia being the show stopper could have worn something much better.
